Agent 17 asked:
I recently seperated from the US Army, and am looking to start a telemarketing business ( dont worry its business to business, and will only be calling contractors, and building companies to aid in sales for my fathers building supply company). Well I need more info and a direction. Does any one know of any programs that can help? Maybe State grants. Or really any helpful advice would be greatly appreciated.

THE WRAITH OF GOD IS COMING asked: I purchased a house 14 monthes ago and my agent, contractor, fin. person, laywer, loan company did not protect me.
Were they supposed to as my agents that is 4 of 5 of them.
The contract was accepted by the back but it was really an agreement see the Uniform Commerical Code.
No I finally got the bank to free up the funds and a lot of the work was done and I even offered to pay the Contractor but he never called or wrote back to try to accet the partial payment.
My agent was like when are you going to pay this man and I said when he did the work the bank requested.
I never saw the list or it’s been so long ago I forgot the list so I requested a new one.
Finally I have a real contractor to do the work now.
In closing the apprassier said we had done all we needed and the Rehab loan was over.
FInally I called the back to use these funds and they claimed there was still more work to do, so I requested she mail me the list.
Ok is this a common event and what is next
jenniferjohnson2008 what I was trying to ask and say was what is the next move, my agents seemed to have all screwed me over.
devi p no my credit is was fine, it’s my agents they basically defrauded me and left me in place where the back could say hey you didn’t do the work you said you were going to do so we are going to take the house, even thou you were never late on a payment.
wow I did it twice back was to be bank.

Jamie asked:
My husband and I are having our house built by a contractor. We are working with a broker who said that due to the market, our credit score is not high enough for a construction loan. Our contractor has to build the house with their funds, then we get a loan to buy the house. To keep us from paying PMI (private mortgage insurance) our broker tells us that they can get us what is called a cash out refinance loan How will this work, and can it be done with a brand new house?
I own the land. Deed is in my name, we have a lawyer who is going to put the land in escrow while they are building. So I guess we would own the house to be able to re-finance?

curt a asked: In may of this year i was working for an independent contractor. One thursday night I went to check my bank account before withdrawling cash from an atm and i noticed my paycheck from my boss had bounced causing my bank account to over draft. The next day i talked to him about it and he told me once he got paid on monday from the job we just finished he would make it right and pay the fines and two weeks of pay he now owed me. Well the next day on saturday he was in an accident putting him in the hospital for a month with 2nd and 3rd degree burns. The next day I ended up losing my part time job at Lowe’s due to lay off. So all my income was cut off and I was 700$ in the hole. The only way for me to get out of debt was to go to my girlfriends mom. She loaned me the money and wants it back now. She runs her own buisness which i have been working for on the weekends. She still pays me what she owes me. But now I cant get my ex-boss to take or return my calls.
Recently a mutual friend of mine and my ex-boss threw him a benifit party at a local restraunt and bar. He is now driving around in a new truck with his buisness signs on it and is back working again.
This kind of makes me mad since im stuck working a 40 hour job mon-fri and a 20 hour job mon-fri and then on the weekends for my girlfriends mom. I have also had a lot of car trouble of my own lately so not only have I been in the hole from not getting paid i have credit card bills and other things keeping me in debt. But if I could get the money from him to give to my girlfriends mom I would no longer be obligated to work for her every weekend. Giving me some what of a personal life outside of work.
The money in question is about $500 in wages for about 45 hours worth of work over two weeks. $200 of those wages was in a bounced check that led to another $250 worth of fees to my account.
It doesn’t seem like enough money to go to court for since lawyer fees will be probably
more then what im fighting for along with court fees. But Im pretty mad that hes out living it up and im stuck in debt. I know small claims court is an option. But I know nothing about how it works. Also If i go through small claims court I would be in line of about 5 other people in front of me since he owes another worker, a subcontractor and medical bills over his head since he didnt have medical insurance when his accident happened.
What is in my best interest? What are my options to sue him for, is it just the 750? And what should I do since I don’t realy have and record of the hours i worked for him in the second week other then his word vs mine.

I am an independant contractor. I am single and 27 years-old. I haven’t done my taxes in three years. I know I should have but I’m obviously irresponsible. I want to try to get a student loan for the fall semester but, of course, I have to show my tax returns. Should I hire a lawyer to pull this all together or should I just go directly to the IRS with all of it????

JenasaurusX asked:
after we fired him. We told him we were waiting for our loan to close (securing a loan was part of our original contract with him) and then would be in touch regarding his payment. There’s a foundation issue – he screwed up and didn’t build it to the engineered plans and so we fired him and now have to get the foundation fixed. Anyway, yesterday we decided to pay him the random items on his invoice that were not related to the foundation, as sort of a good faith thing. That went out in the mail yesterday. This morning I get the lien notice. Should I stop payment on the check I sent out? Also, if he cashes that check is there some sort of legal loophole that goes Aha you accepted payment you have to lift the lien!
Any advice would be helpful. I’m waiting to hear back from the bank to see if we can bond around it before we do ANYTHING, but I’m going stir crazy.
I’m in California, by the way.

My husband started a new business (as a new home contractor) a little over a year ago, so it looks like we have not made very much as far as income for this year or last year. My husband does use money from the company to pay our bills, but the money is not considered income. Is there a mortagage company that can look at the fact that we have a really good credit score without considering our income situation?? We have also considered doing a equity loan….is there a place that will loan you 100% of the equity in your home without needing verification of income? or tax records?

Matthew B asked:
I am looking at buying a new house but I want to finish the basement. I would like to borrow that money along with the mortgage – not a 2nd mortgage and not an Equity Line of Credit. If I have the plans and a contract with a contractor to do the work, will the lender allow me to put that money right into the loan amount above the purchase price of the house??? Thanks in advance.

Any suggestions who will lend $$$ for someone who has a 650 credit score? My property is located in Ogden UT, and has been a nightmare cause I’m in CA. Needless to say, I got screwed over by my realtor, contractor, and loan officer in the span of 6 months. And now facing other headaches with it. I’d be more than willing at this point to entertain any ideas, and especially a POSSIBILITY of partnership to see this through, and reap on the profits.
A lot is happening in the city of Ogden with fixing it up, and other major tourist attractions (I can explain later).
Hugh, it is mortgaged.
